| After a few challenging years as a Healthcare Assistant in a Nursing Home, I heard about an opportunity at work and felt it was the right time for me to develop my skills and confidence. I knew I had a lot more to give, both to myself and the people in my care. I did the Advanced Healthcare Assistant Practitioner (AHAP) Apprenticeship at Griffith College, supported by my work. I am now a confident and competent Advanced Healthcare Assistant Practitioner, as well as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team. The modules I learned during this apprenticeship are all relevant in my day-to-day job. I would advise anyone who can upskill through apprenticeships to take this opportunity. |
