Caring for my mother with dementia and seeing people struggling with homelessness in my area sparked a deep interest in social work. I started a distance learning course in social work and served as a local representative and later chairwoman of the Commission for Social Affairs and Housing. My experiences have made me committed to addressing social disparities and enhancing people’s lives through supportive social work.
