| I liked the customer interaction that I got from working in a pet store, but I wanted a job closer to home. A friend recommended a position in a recycling centre. I’d never heard of this job before but the more I learned about it, the more it seemed like it would suit what I was looking for. I think it would actually suit a lot of people, but it’s not very well known. In a profession where there is no formal education, it’s important to validate your skills. Validation makes the profession more visible because it clarifies what you need to know to work in this field. |
