European Year of Skills

Laurence, France
I was working as an agri-food engineer when I decided to start my own business. Before launching my company, I read a lot, listened to podcasts on entrepreneurship, took part in conferences, masterclasses, professional fairs, and joined coaching programmes to acquire and develop new skills. I also joined entrepreneurial networks, where entrepreneurs help each other and work to build collective success. My journey in the world entrepreneurship was a jump into the unknown, as I had (almost!) everything to learn. I am now the proud founder of Parenthèse, a gift box made in France for parents of newborn babies, and see a clear improvement in my work-life balance.
