EU CAP network’s Thematic Group on Nurturing Skills for a Thriving and Sustainable Agricultural Sector

The Thematic Group, gathering experts from the Member States administration and European Commission, advisory and training institutions, universities, and most importantly, farmers and farmers’ organisations, met virtually in October 2023.  

Members discussed priority skill gaps and challenges in agriculture, demanded skills and changing stages throughout a farmer's career and explored through concrete examples how agricultural professionals can access customised training programs to address evolving needs and challenges.
