New factsheet on boosting apprenticeship cooperation through Erasmus+

The European Alliance for Apprenticeships (EAfA) published a new factsheet on how Erasmus+ supports cooperation and partnership on apprenticeships and work-based learning.

New factsheet on boosting apprenticeship cooperation through Erasmus+

What is the factsheet about?

The new factsheet contains detailed information on how Erasmus+ funding supports apprenticeships and work-based learning. It does so through collaboration and partnerships among various stakeholders, such as businesses, educational institutions, and research organisations.

The factsheet also includes examples of inspiring projects that have used Erasmus+ funding to develop new apprenticeship models, improve apprentice and tutor training, and strengthen links between businesses and education institutions.

You may know Erasmus+ for its promotion of learner mobility, but it is also one of the main EU instruments for promoting vocational education and training (VET) throughout the EU. The programme provides apprentices, VET teachers, and trainers with a variety of opportunities to improve their skills, competencies, and the overall quality of work-based learning and apprenticeships.

What is EAfA?

The European Alliance for Apprenticeships (EAfA), founded in 2013, is a multi-stakeholder platform aiming to improve the quality, supply, and image of apprenticeships, as well as apprentice mobility in Europe. EAfA intends to accomplish this through national commitments and voluntary pledges from stakeholders, as well as through the provision of practical information and increased knowledge exchange on apprenticeships.
