The OECD is looking for contributions for the Talent for Growth Task Force of the EU-US Trade and Technology Council

In the context of the Talent for Growth Task Force, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has recently started a call for innovations and launched a survey. Additionally, OECD is organising two online workshops scheduled for this autumn.

OECD-TTC

The Task Force, set up in December 2022, functions as a high-level reflection group of the EU-US Trade and Technology Council (TTC). Its goal is to exchange best practices and serve as a catalyst for innovative skills policies and approaches. Ultimately, it will develop recommendations to the TTC on skills development in both the European Union and the United States. More information about its members can be found here and here

To support the work of the Task Force, the OECD is currently seeking innovative projects and initiatives that foster diversity in all its forms within the technology sector. The Diversity in Tech Call for Innovations is open until 24 September 2023. The inspiring practises discovered through this call will be discussed during a workshop on 18 October 2023.

OECD is also analysing the use of skills-based approaches – also known as ‘skills-first’ approaches – within the labour market. It aims to name the challenges and factors contributing to success in these approaches. You are encouraged to contribute your insights by taking part in the Skills-Based Approaches Survey until 1 October. A dedicated workshop on this topic is set to take place on 13 November, where these discussions will be further explored.
