With the Pact for Skills, the European Commission is supporting the development of Regional Skills Partnerships

Pact For Skills, regional partnerships

Skills partnerships are multi-stakeholder collaborations that work to create upskilling and reskilling opportunities for people of working age at regional or local level. They bring together private and public stakeholders to take concrete action. Regional Skills Partnerships can be established at the regional or local level or between regions across EU member states with a shared geographical or economic proximity.

Two regional partnerships have already been launched: Lombardy Region (Italy) and European Chemical Regions Network. Other regional and local alliances are in the making.
