So, instead of learning with his father, he did his apprenticeship with a Volkswagen dealership soaking up valuable knowledge and improving his technical skills along the way. His curiosity and dedication paid off when he achieved the prestigious title of craftsman master (Meister) in automobile technology, a significant milestone for anyone wanting to be an independent mechanic.
Driven by a desire to stay ahead of the curve in an ever-evolving industry, Stefan pursued special training courses to further expand his expertise. His commitment to continuous learning proved instrumental in preparing him for the ultimate challenge – competing in the WorldSkills competition in 2022.
Today, as world champion, Stefan's skills are in high demand, with customers seeking out the expertise of the renowned mechanic. His typical day at work involves troubleshooting and working hands-on with cars, a task he approaches with enthusiasm and a keen eye for detail.
