I’ve wanted to be a chef since I learnt to cook with my mother. After taking a culinary course when I was 13, I enrolled in a VET school. During my studies, I did an Erasmus+ internship in Italy, which built my confidence and independence and taught me a lot about Italian gastronomy. Since then, I’ve represented my school at Euroskills and competed in Worldskills. After many hours of training and preparation, I won the gold medal in cooking! I now work as a chef in a traditional restaurant in the centre of Portugal and run a catering company. Live life with dedication. I achieved my dreams thanks to effort and resilience and you can too. Don’t give up. The answer is often around the corner. |
