| My whole life I’ve been interested in cars and loved working with my hands, so I knew I wanted to be a mechanic. I grew up in and around my dad’s garage but when it came to choosing an internship, I decided that I wanted to branch out and learn different perspectives, so I joined a big car dealer. As a Champion of Excellence for Automobile Technology, I want to encourage others to follow their interests and pursue vocational training. Theoretical knowledge is nice, but practical knowledge can be applied in everyday life. Vocational skills are life skills. |
