After two years of teaching English in Belgian high schools, I decided to follow a long-standing interest in working with my hands. I seized an opportunity to do a FOREM apprenticeship at Genetec, a Belgian electric works company, which led to a transformative experience where I’ve acquired not only electrical skills, but also insights into my own capabilities. Learning a new skill may not be easy, but the rewards and satisfaction it brings are well worth the effort.
