| I retired from a 43-year career in the Irish Defence Forces at the age of 60 and returned to college to complete the National Tour Guiding course. After leaving school at 16, it was a challenge to return at 60, and be thrown into the world of computers and portfolio assessments. Since enrolling in the course, I’ve learnt all about tour management and guiding, heritage and culture. Now I’m working with a tour company, delivering half and full day excursions. Every day's a school day and it's never too late to start! |
