When I worked as a litigation lawyer, I felt a lack of fulfilment and I wanted to have more direct contact with my clients so I decided to change and work in family and youth law for a smaller firm. I learned the new skills I needed by self-teaching and hands-on experience. I found a real purpose in my new job - I can make a difference to someone’s future and that gives meaning to my own life. Get out of your comfort zone, seek help and advice if you need it. I learned that people are always happy to assist, and don't be afraid of change. |
