Pina is the Secretary General of the Organising Bureau of European School Student Unions since June 2018. Between 2017 and 2023 she was a member of the Lifelong Learning Platform Steering Committee. She started being active at school level in 2007 and joined her first European event in 2008. In the past 15 years, Pina focused extensively on access to education, empowerment, inclusion and diversity, vocational training and democratic participation. She owes most of what she learnt to non-formal education, but she also learnt a thing or two in her academic studies focusing on language, gender studies and management.
