FP Euskadi and the Basque Country: Together towards a greener future

During the event, FP Euskadi highlighted the Basque Country's innovative sustainability efforts. The region is a pioneer in renewable energy projects such as wind, solar, and tidal power, including offshore wind farms and solar energy parks. The region also trains people how to design, install, and keep renewable energy systems. By developing people’s skills, the region contributes to a capable workforce and the transition to clean energy. Looking ahead, the Basque Country wants to expand collaboration, invest in sustainable projects, and combine the region's leadership in sustainable development to lead the way and drive positive change.

Also, the CIFP San Jorge (Integrated Vocational Training Centre), a Basque VET Centre and member of the FP Euskadi VET Centres network, was present at the EU Green Week. They presented their Telki project, a Green Hydrogen Lab. To do so, the plant combines the technology and facilities necessary to obtain pure hydrogen from water, using the photovoltaic and wind equipment of the Centre as an energy source for this process. as an energy source for this process.

TKNIKA: Skills-Driven Innovations for Environmental Challenges
